SUNRISE COUNTY ARTS INSTITUTE, and SING INTO JOY: Singing as Your Path to Wellness

SUNRISE COUNTY ARTS INSTITUTE, INC., is a Maine public benefit c-corporation based in Milbridge and founded in 2014. SCAI provides a variety of arts services, including voice teaching, musical performances, the creation and production of original shows with music (especially for/with middle and high school students, writing groups and writing services, and more!
When Covid-19 began, SCAI’s president and co-founder Danielle Woerner moved most of her work online, and created a sister set of services: SING INTO JOY: SINGING AS YOUR PATH TO WELLNESS. It’s based on the premise that the elements of healthy singing can contribute to anyone’s well-being–physically, emotionally, mentally– whether they already sing or not. Business professionals now operating in the “Zoomosphere” also benefit tremendously from this work, in skills and confidence.
Danielle is a vibrant performer, acclaimed recording artist and dedicated teacher, with many years’ experience from New York City to the Hudson Valley to Maine, as well as on tour in Europe; she is also a published poet, journalist, and editor.
